The Isle of Purbeck's golf club was originally formed in 1892, and is among the most spectacular courses in England. There may not be another course in England with such stupendous views, situated as it is high on the shoulder of the Purbeck Hills.
The signature 5th hole was selected by National Club Golfer as one of best holes in England and others have said the view from the championship tee is worth the green fee alone. But the terrific scenery is not the Isle of Purbeck's only selling point; the course has consistently been included in Golf World's list of the top 100 in Great Britain.
